We would like to welcome you to to the Selva del Arme (the forest of arms) where we train modern knights and squires in the martial aspects of Chivalry. From swordplay to riding, we teach skills that would have been second nature to a medieval man at arms. Come join us as we learn about the past. Enjoy the spectacle as squires seek to impress the populous with their prowess and daring.

Home of the Argent Lion

The Companions of the Argent lion are the (re)enactment branch of the Southern Academy of Swordsmanship, a HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) Club based in the Laurel and Hattiesburg area. It is for this school that the Selva Del Arme has been developed. In the interest of promoting and preserving the European Martial system of Fiore De Liberi known as Armizare, the Argent Lion has agreed to host a medieval faire.

The Challenge

Squires will challenge each other and experienced knights to Deeds at arms-- on foot, at the joust, and other feats at arms of all types.
